“O’Keeffe’s Hardworking Skincare,” a subsidiary of the Gorilla Glue Company, filmed a commercial advertisement in Montana for internet and print distribution. The production brought a team from the Midwest to collaborate with Montana-based crew, utilizing the state’s rugged landscape and authentic working environments as the visual backdrop along with authentic people living and working in Montana.
I was hired as a Production Assistant by Zachary Green of Z Green Entertainment. Zach produced The Obituary of Tunde Johnson, directed by Ali LeRoi. Montana Video Productions (Tyler Grutsch) and Wild Wave Sound Design (Travis Wade Kidd) rounded out the local production team. In my role, I liaised between the O’Keeffe’s brand team and the Montana production crew, supporting communication, logistics, and doing on-set tasks to help maintain an efficient workflow. This experience expanded my understanding of the collaborative structure and operational discipline required to carry a commercial production from concept through execution. Independent Film Support
While I remain focused on acting and auditioning, I maintain an active presence in the film community by supporting independent productions in additional capacities. This includes assisting in casting, contributing behind the scenes through set photography and actor support, and providing financial backing to projects that elevate women’s voices in filmmaking. This deepens my understanding of the collaborative ecosystem required to bring meaningful stories to life.
Assistant Casting — Blood & Water Blood & Water is a short film centered on Trav, a combat veteran in recovery, and his daughter Kitty, as they journey into the mountains on horseback in an effort to repair their fractured relationship. Their attempt at reconciliation is disrupted when they unexpectedly encounter a backwoods meth lab, forcing both into a confrontation with danger and their own unresolved struggles.
The film was written and directed by Luke Langsdale, a graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts and alumnus of the Raindance directors’ program. It was produced by Zachary Green of Z Green Entertainment in association with Little Idea Media, and stars Maury Sterling (The Rookie, Homeland). The production was a recipient of a Montana Film Office Big Sky Grant.
I served as Assistant Casting on the film, working in tandem with Montana Casting Director Tina Buckingham. Together, we cast the role of Kitty, selecting Los Angeles/Montana actress Bella DeLong. In collaboration with producer Zachary Green, I also assisted in casting supporting background roles, helping to assemble a cast that reflected the authenticity and emotional tone of the story. The film completed a successful festival run, receiving the Best Made in Montana Film award at the Montana International Film Festival, an Honorable Mention at Hollywood Shortsfest, and Finalist recognition at the Cannes Indie Shorts Awards.

Select Acting Scene Work
Whilst raising my daughters and helping shape their young adulthood, I also made a deliberate commitment to grow myself as an artist in the acting craft. My early foundation was grounded in black box theatre, where I helped open and maintain a performance space, worked with a local theatre troupe, and performed on stage at Carroll College and in community theatre. This stage work established my early discipline and eventually led me to pivot toward film acting and understanding performance for the lens.
My dedication to parenting and creating stability for my family was central to my value system. It required building a home structure that supported all of us, while I continued investing in my professional development. I pursued in-person training at industry markets and remained equally resourceful at my home base, seeking conversations, introductions, and collaborative opportunities that would support my long-term growth in film acting.
One such introduction was to filmmaker Chris Hoffert, combat veteran who served on tour in Iraq. Returning from active duty, he attended the Academy of Arts. From our first meeting, it was clear my performance experience and long-term commitment to the craft aligned with his discipline, visual instincts, and developing filmmaking voice. This creative alignment allowed us to work together on scene material that supported both his formal directing and cinematography training and my continued development in on-camera performance, character development, and understanding the technical relationship between actor and lens. Below is a link to his website, where you can view selected scenes we created as part of this collaborative period of development. Additionally, below the image is A Soldier's Letter chronicling the communication between soldiers in the field and their loved ones at home.
