Production Assistant - Commercial Work
“O'Keeffe's Hardworking Skincare” arrived in Montana with a team from the mid-west to produce a commercial advertisement for internet and print usage. Montana was a perfect place for this commercial with its rugged landscape and also the people who care for it and work here.
I was contacted and hired to be a Production Assistant for this commercial by Zachary Green of Z Green Entertainment. Zach produced "The Obituary of Tunde Johnson" directed by Ali LeRoi; it was one of ten films awarded the Next Wave designation. Montana Video Productions (Tyler Grutsch) and Wild Wave Sound design (Travis Wade Kidd) rounded out the team.
I liaised between the O'Keeffe and Montana teams completing a myriad of needed tasks to help maintain high-efficiency and on-set workflow giving me a deeper appreciation and understanding for the work crew does on a production.

Independent Film Support
While I'm focused on acting, I maintain an active presence in the film community by supporting other indie projects. I've assisted in casting (which keeps me learning new facets of the industry) worked behind the scenes doing things such as set photography and actor coaching and also contributed financially to projects that elevate women's voice in filmmaking.
"Blood & Water" is a short film about a combat veteran father Trav and his daughter Kitty, both struggling with overcoming addiction. They take a horse trek into the mountains to repair their damaged relationship and share some hope in being in recovery. The reunion takes a turn when the two of them unwittingly stumble onto a backwoods meth lab.
It's directed and written by Luke Langsdale. Luke is a graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and an alumnus of the Raindance directors' program and is currently residing in the UK working on his first feature film. The film was produced by Zachary Green of Z Green Entertainment in association with Little Idea Media and stars Maury Sterling (tv series: The Rookie and Homeland). Blood & Water was a recipient of a Big Sky Montana Film Grant.
I was Assistant Casting on this short film working in tandem with Tina Buckingham, Casting Director in Montana. Together we worked to find the LA/Montana actress Bella DeLong who played Kitty. Working with producer Zach Green, we cast the extras for the film.
The film had a solid festival tour garnering the Best Made in Montana Film award at the Montana International Film Festival and receiving an Honorable Mention at the Hollywood Shortsfest. It was a Finalist for Foreign Shorts at the Cannes Inde Shorts Awards.
